Between Here and Deserve

Synopsis

Between Here and Deserve is an experimental dance film made with Portland dancer and choreographer Honey Marie in a single frozen night, on streets closed to everyone but her.

Deserve is not a feeling here but a destination: the world she was promised, still out of reach. It is a distance queer people know by heart, the space between the life you were handed and the one you were owed.

Alone in the cold and dark, Honey dances that crossing, carrying grief and rage across the ice. The film refuses resolution. It is not about getting there. It is about the crossing.
